    Ariadne auf Naxos

    Hallie will be singing the role of Zerbinetta.

    Ariadne auf Naxos," translated to "Ariadne on Naxos," is an opera within an opera by Richard Strauss. It tells the story of Ariadne, abandoned on the island of Naxos by her lover Theseus, and the attempts of a comedia dell’arte troup and the god Bacchus to lift her spirits. The opera's prologue introduces a backstage setting where a serious opera about Ariadne and a comic performance are combined into one due to financial constraints.

    Handel’s Rinaldo

    Hallie will be singing the role of Armida in this production.

    Handel's opera Rinaldo tells the story of a love triangle set against the backdrop of the Crusades. Rinaldo, a Crusader knight, is promised Almirena, daughter of the Crusader leader Goffredo, if he helps take Jerusalem. However, Armida, a sorceress and lover of the Saracen king Argante, uses magic to interfere, leading to Rinaldo's capture and Almirena being kidnapped.

Slightly shortened to a dramatic ninety minutes, this performance delivers all of Verdi’s most powerful music and iconic moments, heightened with narration to guide you through every twist and turn. Experience the famous “Anvil Chorus” and Verdi’s fiery score as Maestro Ari Pelto leads a cast of extraordinary singers alongside the Opera Colorado Orchestra and Chorus in this gripping tale of mistaken identity and retribution.

    La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini is a four act opera that tells the story of a group of poor bohemian artists in Paris and their struggles with love, poverty, and illness. The opera, based on Henri Murger’s novel Scènes de la vie de bohème, focuses on the love affair between a poet, Rodolfo, and a seamstress, Mimì, and explores the complexities of their relationships and the harsh realities of their lives.

    The Daughter of the Regiment" by Donizetti is a comedic opera about Marie, a young woman raised by a French regiment who falls in love with Tonio, a Tyrolean peasant. Her foster-father, Sergeant Sulpice, opposes the match, as Marie was promised to a soldier from the regiment. The situation becomes more complicated when a mysterious Marquise arrives, claiming to be Marie's aunt and wanting to give her a proper education, which includes a marriage arranged by her.

    The Abduction from the Seraglio," (German: "Die Entführung aus dem Serail") is a German opera by W. A. Mozart, featuring the story of a couple and their servants who are held captive in a seraglio (Turkish palace).The opera follows their attempt to escape, encountering various characters, including a Turkish pasha and a harsh overseer, Osmin. Despite initial setbacks and a close call with death, the opera ends with the pasha's merciful act, allowing the captives to return home

    The Marriage of Figaro," a comic opera by Mozart, revolves around the wedding day of Figaro and Susanna, servants to the Count Almaviva and Countess. The story follows the Count's attempts to interfere with the marriage and the ensuing schemes to deceive him.

    Hallie sang the role of Frasquita.

    Carmen" tells the story of a passionate, free-spirited woman who seduces a soldier, Don José, leading him to abandon his duty and join a band of smugglers. However, Carmen's fickle nature and attraction to the bullfighter Escamillo ultimately lead to tragedy, with Don José taking her life in a fit of jealous rage.

    Der Rosenkavalier

    "Der Rosenkavalier," which translates to "The Knight of the Rose," is a comic opera by Richard Strauss with a libretto by Hugo von Hofmannsthal. The story revolved around the Marschallin, a mature aristocrat, her young lover Octavian, and the prospect of Octavian becoming a Rosenkavalier (knight of the rose) for the Baron Ochs, who is about to marry the young Sophie. The opera explores themes of love, age, and social hierarchy as the young lovers find love and the Marschallin accepts the inevitable passage of time

    The Magic Flute

    Hallie sang the role of First Spirit, and covered the Queen of the Night.

    The Magic Flute" is a Singspiel opera that follows Prince Tamino and Papageno as they embark on a quest to rescue Pamina, the Queen of the Night’s daughter, from the evil Sarastro. The opera blends fantasy, comedy, and romance, exploring themes of love, good versus evil, and the quest for enlightenment. Tamino and Papageno face a series of trials and tests, ultimately discovering the importance of reason and compassion.
